Panhellenic is the organization that represents and governs over the general social sororities' recruitment, new membership, initiation, and general business. It consists of two representatives from each sorority that work toward bettering the relationship of the Greek Community, not only within themselves, but the campus and external environments as well.
Recruitment is a time when sororities welcome new members into their chapters. The goal of Recruitment is to allow the potential member to meet sorority members and ultimately join the sorority of her choice. It is a mutual selection process. While sororities are selecting prospective members, potentials will be selecting the sorority that is right for them. In the end, they will find the chapter in which they feel the most comfortable. Panhellenic Formal Sorority Recruitment is open to all full-time Texas Wesleyan University female students enrolled for Fall 2002. In order to participate in fall Recruitment, potentials must be enrolled in at least 12 hours at TWU. Although participation in Recruitment in no way obligates potentials to join a sorority, we believe the potentials will decide to join the Greek tradition.
